Year 6 & Year 7 news

4th Apr 2019

Accelerated Reading

Congratulations to the boys and girls who met their reading targets. Well done.

Hive Hackers

Our Year Seven pupils had a wonderful day at the Hive Hackers Award Ceremony in the Waterfront Hall. This was a fabulous coding programme that our Year Seven pupils took part in that was facilitated by PwC. Each pupil got a certificate and medal for successfully completing the programme. Well done Year Seven and a big thank you to PwC.

Fun Science Experiments in Year Seven

All hands on deck as Year Seven complete a number of exciting science experiments exploring floating and sinking. Check out our fun experiments that are a great way to enjoy the world of science. Can you get an orange to sink? If unsure, talk to one of our Year Seven mad scientists for the answer.

Little Green Fingers in Year Six and Seven

Year Six and Year Seven spent an amazing afternoon in the outdoor garden weeding the vegetable plot, tilling the soil, planting, watering and caring for our vegetables. We hope this will encourage us to have green fingers’ and our seeds keep growing beautifully, so we can taste them very soon. Saint Joseph’s fruit and veg shop here we come! Not forgetting our beautiful array of daffodils swaying in the gentle breeze planted by our Year Three pupils.

Mr Fryers are you sure three vegetable plots are enough for you???
