WW2 learning in P4
24th Feb 2022
WW2 activity based learning. Focus on evacuation and preparing a child evacuee for a journey to the country. Our children were totally absorbed in the role play session as they took on the role of an evacuee.
LEAVING THE CITIES
Children were evacuated from cities across England, Scotland and Wales during WW2. Parents were issued with a list detailing what their children should take with them when evacuated. These items included a gas mask in case, a change of underclothes, night clothes, plimsolls (or slippers), spare stockings or socks, toothbrush, comb, towel, soap, face cloth, handkerchiefs and a warm coat.
