Stirke action on Wednesday 15th & Thursday 16th November

Due to Strike Action called by a number of Trade Unions, our school will be unable to operate as normal on Wedneday 15th & Thursday 16th November. 

On Wednesday 15th November there will be NO support staff available in school.  This inlcudes ALL Classroom Assistants, Supervisory Staff, School Crossing Patrol and office staff. 

  • School will be OPEN for children as Teachers will be in school. Children in P1 & P2 must be collected promptly at 1.45pm and children in P3-P7 should be collected promptly/go home at 3pm.

The following services are cancelled due to lack of personnel

  • No early bird breakfast club
  • No 1-1 support or withdrawal groups
  • No crossing patrol
  • No office staff
  • No WhatsApp, Messenger or Facebook available
  • No Afterschool clubs

Thursday 16th November 
All support staff Unions are on Strike action. School will close at 12 noon as dinners will not be provided. All Canteen Staff, Classroom Assistants, Supervisory Staff, School Crossing Patrol and Office staff will be on strike. All children should be collected promptly/go home at 12 noon. 

The following are also cancelled due to lack of personnel

This is NOT Industrial Action against the school. It is a protest against substantial cuts to the education budget across The North of Ireland. Our children and staff deserve better.

We would appreciate your support & cooperation at this time. 

This action is a last resort. No member of our staff takes strike action lightly. Apologies for any inconvenience. We will update you if any changes arise.
