School closure
Dear Parent
Due to Strike Action called by a number of Trade Unions, our school will be unable to operate as normal next week.
Please note the following;
- School will be CLOSED on Wednesday 26th April as all teaching & non-teaching staff will be on strike
- From Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th April, there will be NO support staff available in school, as they are taking strike action also. This inlcudes ALL Classroom Assistants, Supervisory Staff and School Crossing Patrol and office staff.
- School will be OPEN on Tuesday & Thursday for children as Teachers will be in school as normal.
However, the following has been cancelled due to lack of personnel
- No early bird breakfast club
- No 1-1 support or withdrawal groups
- No crossing patrol
- No office staff
- No WhatsApp, Messenger or Facebook available
Please contact the school landline ONLY in the event of an emergency.
This is NOT Industrial Action against the school. It is a protest against substantial cuts to the education budget across The North of Ireland. Our children and staff deserve better.
We would appreciate your support & cooperation at this time.
This action is a last resort. No member of our staff takes strike action lightly. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Yours Faithfully
Miss Weir
