Autumn Fair Trail
Come and explore Botanic Gardens with Young at Art Events on a walking tour with a difference. Have fun whilst learning a little more about Botanic Gardens and discovering new areas off the beaten track.
Start at the trail marquee near the Tropical Ravine. Find answers to the questions and meet the interesting characters (that no one tells you about) along the way.
The trail will run between 1pm and 5pm and will take around 20-30 minutes. Groups will leave approximately every 10 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. The characters will have a short nap between 3pm-3.20pm. The free trail is open to all ages and the paths are accessible too.

You can also catch some brilliant local musicians performing on the bandstand and around the park over the weekend.

Tropical Ravine
Make sure to pay a visit to our newly refurbished Tropical Ravine, open 10am – 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Have a go at our crafty workshops between 12.30pm – 4.30pm and create one of our most famous plants, the Victoria amazonica – better known as the water lily, complete with a cheeky rainforest frog.
Songwriting the Ravine, an expressive sound installation exploring local connections and experiences of Belfast’s rich musical heritage, will be played on the hour every hour between 10am and 5pm each day as part of Belfast Music Summer Seasons 2018.
Free guided tours of the Tropical Ravine will take place every half hour between 12.30pm and 4.30pm both days, which will include exclusive access to the tropical zone on the ground floor. Tours will be first come first served and will last approximately 20 minutes.

Recycled Sculptures in Botanic Gardens
A selection of recycled sculptures will be on display throughout the park made from waste items representing the problems that waste can present in our environment. From an excavated waste dinosaur to a fish choked by plastic bottles, the sculptures demonstrate our responsibility to dispose of our waste properly.

Ulster Museum
The Ulster Museum will be open over the Autumn Fair weekend from 10am – 5pm each day, offering something for art lovers, history buffs, excited children, and the curious. Plenty to enjoy and loads to love at the Ulster Museum. And best of all, admission is free.
