Celebrating World Music Day! Rock on 🎸
What is World Music Day?
World Music Day, also known as La Fête de la Musique, celebrates music in all its forms and the importance of music in people's lives.
More than 120 countries celebrate World Music Day. Celebrations see a variety of free public concerts and events being held across over 700 cities, in the streets, parks, museums and other public spaces. Here, musicians gather to play their instruments and perform for large crowds.
Our children tell us there’s nothing in the world like the sound of their favorite song, it just gets right into their head and and makes them want to move, dance, wriggle and have fun. They also tell us that music takes them on a journey to a magical place and time. Some of our favorite songs can lift us up and make an otherwise ordinary day feel extra special.
So put on the radio or your favourite album and dance like no one is watching! Embrace your inner child and rock on..................
May thanks to Year 4 for their music extravaganza!
