Armagh Observatory and Planetarium are running a competition to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landings.

Logo Moon

Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is searching for artists to enter their Logo Moon competition!

The competition is open to children of all ages. Make your designs Moon-themed and let your imagination run wild! All entries need to be in by Friday 7th June 2019.

HOW TO ENTER: All designs need to be themed around the Moon and fit inside theCrescent Logo. The template of the Crescent Logo can be downloaded from the website

Send designs via post by placing your entry in an envelope with a piece of cardboard to keep it flat to: Moon Competition, Armagh Planetarium, Hill, Co. Armagh, BT61 9DB or by email to capcom@armagh.ac.uk ( put in a slip with your name, address and phone number)

PRIZES: There will be one overall lucky winner who will win a trip to the Planetarium for their class and a special individual prize for themselves. Five runners up will win family tickets for a free trip to the Planetarium.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entries must be received by Friday 7th June 2019. Winners will be announced soon after. The winners will be chosen by an independent judging panel. The rights (including all intellectual property rights) to artwork submitted as part of the competition will belong to Armagh Observatory and Planetarium and unfortunately entries cannot be returned to participants. Prizes are not transferable and no cash equivalent will be offered.
